TelkomInternet Auth Server slow?

Hi there

Im having difficulty authenticating on my TelkomInternet connection (HomeDSL + 3G).

I basicly need to 'redail' about 7 times before I get connected. I keep on getting a 'your username and password is invalid'. However after a while I do get connected, so I know that the username/password is correct.

I tried to phone telkom in this regard, were kept on hold for 7 minutes, and then the connection went through so I put down the phone.

Is anybody having similar problems?

My OpenWeb connection works fine btw :)

The problem persists.

I finally got through to TelkomInternet (after a 10min wait) gave them my username (waited another 10 mins for them to check stuff) and finaly the techie came back to me to say that he also cant athenticate from his side....

Apparently they are aware of the problem and is currently working on it....

At this time the friendly support person asked me to please test the connection in 30 mins and call him back.

I flipped my lid. I told him that he has already wasted 30 mins of my time and if I have to call him back that will make it an hour then. I charge by the hour so how I send him an account for my time wasted to sort ou his cr*p.

I also told him that if this problem is not resolved by start of business tomorrow morning, I will be canceling my account and switching to a different ISP.

Ill keep all informed...
 
You are a real telscum client, so dear to my heart ;) I wish we had met before, I dig the first post, the connection started working, so you put the phone down! LOL!!!! :D
 
Same problem here - havent been able to log on all afternoon.
 
Started working a few minutes ago.

This is now the second time that I have had success with TelkomInternet AFTER I threatened to go to another ISP. Typically this is not the basis on which I wish to work, so I'm still thinking of going elsewhere, but now ill wait till the end of the month...

This makes me look forward even more to the SNO's final arival...
 
I saw someone today, when they were checking their mail briefly on dialup, their TelkomInternet account didnt want to authenticate, she dialed about 6 times. I use TelkomInternet for DSL at home and havent had a problem yet.
 
Got major problems just now, I could access some sites, but myadsl was dead as a doornail. The ppp connect error: ARGGGHHHHHH
 
I've had similar problems last week Wednesday and Thursday. The router responded with "Cannot obtain IP address from PPP server" and then the router just gives up trying!

I had my password reset and all was well again....

Running DSL384 with 2G cap.

At some stage I did some troubleshooting and found that even the guest account didn't want to authenticate...
 
The RADIUS server must be infected with a virus or something. XD

I've also had problems authenticating at times. Invalid user crap and passcrap.
