TelkomInternet Outage?

Besides for a ton of users complaining (https://twitter.com/search?f=tweets&vertical=default&q=telkom&src=typd), I'm having issues authenticating to my TelkomADSL accounts at both home and office. Seems their RADIUS is down? My Telkom LTE is also moving at a snail's pace despite being on a fresh cap because it's early in the month. I heard rumours of a Seacom outage... I don't know, it just seems awfully ironic that both A) speeds are slow practically throughout the whole network, and that B) their RADIUS has gone down completely, at the same time? I'd rather speculate that the RADIUS server was turned off on purpose specifically to alleviate load! Can anyone confirm what's going on?

No outages, nothing like that. That is is all lies by ISPS.

You cant have a seacom outage, and then have half the ISPS running perfect.

What ISPS do, is they simply dont have enough bandwidth for all the users, so they pretty much **** over whoever they can, who might not notice. As more and more people get tech savoy, it has resulted in what we have now.

But can confirm, cant even auth right now, after being pretty much unusable since 5pm on the dot, like if some software began to limit me on their side.

You must remember what country we live in lol.

They confirmed to me on Twitter it is a country wide outage because of a damaged cable.

LOl, its a canned response mate, they say it every time thier is an issue.

No 'cable' bring broken is going to stop the whole country from simply AUTHING into the system. In the same light, if it was cable issues, every single ISP would suffer, not simply telkom.

Dont buy their into their bull****, please.

There is a cable break.

OpenServe cable break affecting IPC and SAIX in Northern and Eastern region. Also affecting Telkom Internet connectivity from Centurion to Rosebank.

Believe me. This info is authentic.

Just got of the line with 10210 after holding for what was easily an hour. They say it is a "nationwide outage" and the "technicians are working on the problem". I am in Edenglen, East Rand.

So yes, Telkom have crashed BIG time tonight. Hope that they will give us all a credit for the down time. I only have this line for ADSL and if I can't use it, I will ask for a credit. Everyone that is affected should.

Give it a couple of minutes. The patches take rerouting. Will take a couple of minutes to apply

Vox and Axxess running fine over here. Seems like a TI only issue?
