Telkom's 500GB Night Surfer Data Bundle does not work with Windows 8.1

Why is it that Telkom’s 500GB Night Surfer Data Bundle that is currently selling for just R50 pre-paid work with Windows 10 and all earlier Windows versions but not Windows 8.1? That simply is rather daft!

I have contacted Telkom’s Call Centre but none of the agents there could give me a sensible explanation. What possibly could be lacking in Windows 8.1 that data cannot be utilised. Perhaps someone at Telkom reading this post will respond

Your Windows OS has nothing to do with your LTE connection.. Your router does the connection and your laptop/pc/phone connects to your router for internet. people have commented that your initial night surfer data gets utilized first, then your 500GB promo get utilized but this needs to be verified. Also maybe try restarting your connection after 12..

Did you check if your firewall is blocking connections on windows 8.1 system???

You have a conclusion that is wrong, that is why no one can give you a sensible explanation, cause there is none. Your issue is with your Windows and other software or hardware, and not the type of Telkom bundle at all.
