A deal that costs only R599 pm if you apply online, you get - The waiting period for someone to call you. The constant emails being sent to Telkom for a response. The lack of response from Telkom Sales to finalize the deal. The constant posts of disgruntled customers that have waited for months just to get a call for when they would receive their package. The unhelpful emails that follow from complaints department. After all of that, when you go through everything you are rewarded by even MORE WAITING. This is what you get when you apply for Telkom's Smart Broadband Uncapped Wireless package.
I can't for the life of me why Telkom would offer you a deal that they can't even fully service. Why is it that you have to apply online to get the R599 pm deal, when they aren't able to provide customers with this package? Why can't I go to the store, apply for the package and get the deal for R599? Why is it that I have to pay R100 more to avoid all this hassle? How is it possible in this day and age where so many companies offer you deals online that Telkom, the company that seems to pride themselves on having the best Internet packages, are unable to provide this package to customers hassle free? There are so many people complaining about this and so few people actually having proper solutions provided. If I've read this package correctly, then this package has been on offer from December and it is to end this month, how is it possible for them to still not get this right? And when this deal does end, what happens to the customers that have applied but haven't received their package by June?
I know this may come across as a rant but I think that if people are going to apply for this package then they should know whats really going on when they apply for this.
Personally, I'm really considering just going to the store and paying that extra R100 and not have to worry again.
