Telkomsa Pop3 and SMPT Email failures

What is going on with Telkomsa Email. Most of the time the POP3 fails for days on end. Nowhere can one complain either. Now my daughter cannot send Email on their ADSL. Is TelkomSA shutting down or do they not care at all. The Webmail works but not POP3. This has been going on for at least 2 years now and is a very poor customer experience.
Maybe I should just switch to Gmail on a permanent basis.

been using gmail for over 12 years never had a days issue.
