There's a difference between new tech being adopted and the new tech resulting in shareholder profits for a particular pioneer. See airlines.. they've hardly ever been profitable, and certainly not as ashareholder if you held them all this time. I have no doubt that people will make money in automated automotives, I just don't know if it will be Tesla.
Also, Tesla shares have already priced in a massive premium, so looking forward it might be better to back a cheaper share and surprise on the upside as it's already priced into Tesla shares that they win.
