Tesla's $300 wireless charging station charges up to three devices at a time

Electric vehicle (EV) company Tesla has launched a wireless charging station with a price tag of $300 (R5,100).

The automaker said the Tesla Wireless Charging Platform’s design was inspired by its upcoming EV bakkie — the Cybertruck.

Many people don’t appreciate that in the US market there’s millions of people that can afford these prices, they have buckets of money to burn, month in month out. They buy this stuff in droves, even more so that it’s from the cult brand that is Tesla.

I cannot imagine how life on this earth ever managed to happenhappen before tech giants decided to spend millions on r&d to remove cables from chargers.

Tech is moving at a rapid pace since his demise but regardless it's rich of you to assume he wouldn't see the practicality and simplicity millions of people including myself find in the convenience of wireless charging just because you don't have the vision to understand it or a use for it.

Wireless charging is the best thing sliced bread for some of us...cable charging,pffft.

Cables make more sense when you're transferring data. Wireless charging removes the possibility (probability?) of wear and tear on the port.

Oh and the added expense of rushing out to buy a new cable because your phone won't charge only to find that one doesn't work so you take the phone to the repair centre only to discover, to your embarrassment, that there was a chunk of pocket lint stuck in there... according to friends of mine...
