I just purchased a Samsung Galaxy P7300 with a Data Bundle contract. Now sometimes I need to use the SIM in my laptop to access the net and am now tired of swopping the sim from the above device to my modem.
How can I tether the P7300 to my laptop?
I have tried it in "Settings" by checking the box that says "Share internet via USB" but my laptop does not see it.
Do I need "KIES"?

If the laptop has wifi

Go into the tablet, Settings-->Wifi and network--->Tethering and Portable Hotspot---> Check box for portable wifi hotspot

So no USB needed?

Nope. I am currently posting off my Samsung tablet using my SGS as the connecting to the net. Set up a hotspot on my SGS (which had a data sim card in it).

My "voice" sim is in my old N73 :)
