The Trump era
You only like him when he criticises the people you dont like
I said that I found him funny in the past. Liking him? Now that is a completely different thing.

Back OT: To me, the evidence to support the arming of trained and competent people in schools appears to be overwhelming when one considers a tiny middle-eastern nation's success in countering school attacks. You suggest that it's not the case. To what would you ascribe their success then?

I'd contend that in the ME, threats aren't coming from *inside* the house... The region has had nearly one and a half millennia of religious conflicts.

The ME is a red herring.

Let's discuss Canada, or the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Aus, NZ, or even SA.... We all have more than one door in our schools. We all have folks struggling with mental health. We all have bullying, we all have the same video games, and we all have Marilyn Manson and South Park.

We don't have school police, and we don't have school shootings like they do in the US.

Hell, SA has a liberation struggle history with guns, but what we don't do is allow a kid to buy an AK and all the ammo ever at Makro for his 18th birthday, no questions asked.

It's

The

Guns.

<blatant trolling snipped>
You are talking about the Middle East in general, and at the same time being economical with facts. I am talking about the sovereign country Israel, which, if the leftist Palestinian organisation IMEU's factsheet were to be believed, had almost 2 million Palestinian citizens in 2019, representing 21% of the population. Dismissing internal threats would certainly not be wise for Israelli government, particularly when the same publication suggests that these Palestinians are subject to the most questionable treatment by the Israelli government:
  • There are more than 60 Israeli laws that discriminate against Palestinian citizens of Israel.
  • There are 60,000 to 70,000 homes (as of 2020) belonging to Palestinian citizens of Israel that are threatened with destruction by the government because they were built without official permission, which is extremely difficult for them to obtain.
In short, it appears to be a powder keg internally, so the red herrings are all yours.

Regurgitating the same boring untruths over and over doesn't give them any more credibility. Rather present a reasonably decent argument.

That is terrible. Who ever was in charge should be fired instantly...

A bunch of "heavies" in that group. I'm no security expert but is it wise to retreat with the back to the shooter? Also, is it wise to hunt down a shooter in a poorly coordinated manner like that?
