Had a problem upgrading from 1mb to 4mb, through out the time, I was always informed of what was going on.

Thanks to Charl(TelkomZA) and his team!
Also to the tech he assigned, who was polite and knowledgeable!

Have a new upgraded 4mb line and a 25% discount on uncapped, I could not be a more pleased customer!

Last few months, there has been a definite increase in Telkoms service overall!

I feel your pain Rickster I'm going on to 2 months with a dead line nobody at Telkom seems to be able to help. It's bordering on comical or sadness at this stage :banghead:

Just thought I'd jump on the bandwagon. Big thanks to Charl from the TelkomZA team who sorted out my line this morning after I received some incorrect information from the call center. Very happy to have everything up and running for the weekend :D

Wish I could be so cheerful....................... my adsl line is down for almost a week and I bet I will still have to pay for 100%

Charl rocks! Was experiencing unusually high packet loss on my Afrihost 4 MB account since my area (Table View) was upgraded to 20/40. Since I'm roundabout 2 klicks off the exchange my line is on 10 MB. The difference between physical ability and account limits obviously caused the high amount of packet loss, as Charl told me. He gave me a test account for the whole day yesterday and it indeed was pure internet bliss. Latency is a bit too high for gaming tho, but I guess that's the outdated Telkom backhaul. Apart from that I couldn't be happier. Stable sync on 8 MB, whoohoo \o/.
Thanks very much TelkomZA!!!

Now the course of action is clear for me: upgrading my acc to 10MB! Only question is TI or AH. Hmmmm.....

Thumbs up to Telkom and Afrihost

Telkom's response time has improved a lot. I can attest to that. May be they are focusing on new clients and neglecting old ones, I don't know.:). I they installed my line in 2 days, a day after Afrihost delivered my router.
