The 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 is ridiculously beautiful and powerful

Looks exactly like the previous 14 generations. I really wish they would get creative with the design, or bring out some entirely new model that is not a Cayman/Boxster.

Macan is a zoomed out Cayenne. Panamera is nice.

911 *.* = same same.

And the "14" was a randomly chosen number to get my point across, not a verified actual figure. My point, which you seem to have missed, was that as impressive as it's performance is, it is, to me, thoroughly boring. I'd rather have an Aston or a Ferrari or a Lambo or a Tesla or an EP9 or an SLS or an SLR or a Continental GT or an F-Type... etc etc ad infinitum.

Of course it's purely personal preference and opinion.

You need to see, hear and feel this thing in action to appreciate the engineering.

Let me be straight, clearly you are not the targeted market. The design has not negatively impacted their world-wide sales numbers, IN FACT it has improved substantially. The models are engineering marvels, and have shown consistent improvements over the previous ‘same’ generations.

I did not miss that you had your number wrong, as thoroughly boring as it may be to you the market disagree.

I agree, they are fantastic cars. I didn't knock them, nor their technical prowess. I simply specifically said, "I really wish they would get creative with the design..."

That's all. They are fantastic vehicles, I just don't like that they all look very similar, year-on-year.

I'm counting the decades until I can afford a second-hand 911 GT3 - only about three left.

Porsche changed the previous shape just enough to make the owners of the previous gen feel like their car is now old and needs an upgrade. It's a fine and brilliant balancing act. The average Joe wouldn't even see a difference.
