Prickey Arthur is loving this.........
As he should. His team outplayed the Saffers. His team still has an outside chance. And he is doing something right.

As for our bunch, I have no words. On paper, they are a formidable side. In the middle they are beaten by the time the put foot over the ropes.

We WERE ranked nr3 coming in. Wtf happened
They came to the world cup to get their confidence back, not to win matches. The sun will still rise tomorrow, it's not the end of the world if you lose.

If they went there with a loser mentality, we shouldn't be surprised when they lose...

They should have begged AB to come over. When they showed the world back in the previous WC that color is more important than winning it was the end.
AB lucked out, knowing the selectors they would of dropped RvdD for AB. We would of probably won a couple more matches but still crashed out in the group stages. Knowing the media and fans AB would get all the blame for not making out of the group stage

We went over there thinking we could bowl teams out.

Our bowlers couldn't do that nor could they really contain the opposition and on top of that our woeful batting lineup was exposed as a result; can't chase, can't set.

At this point I would not be surprised to learn that we were paid large sums of money to vastly under-perform. It would make complete sense.

We haven't been brilliant as of late but this world cup we have been especially underwhelming.

Our bowling strategy is the same as what the West Indies use, and it hasn't worked for them either.
Having 5 of our top 6 batters under performing doesn't help either.

Would you have one Kane Williamson or an entire Protea top order?

Rassie has been the pick of our batsmen when you consider the fact that every time he has walked out we have fully engaged collapse mode and there is nothing behind him. Amazingly, he also has the best SR (JP doesn't count due to low amount of balls faced) and one the criticisms leveled at him is that he bats too slowly. Hash in full test mode. Would've been okay if he stuck around and maybe put a century on the board and gave the other idiots a platform to play off of.

Amla 24 - Terrible average for top order
QDK 39.6 - slightly below average for top order
Faf 38.2 - slightly below average for top order
Markram 21.2 - terrible for top order for top order below average for mid order
RvdD 54 - really good average for middle order
Miller 34 - the definition of average for the middle order.
