I agree. In fact he should be around the national team.

He said something very insightful just before this world cup. You have to find the players who want to be there. He used to look forward to going out in the last few overs and causing havoc.
I remember he retired from international cricket after Smith became captain. Apparently they didn't get along at all.

I remember that.. it was a waste as the two operating at the same in a CWC would be the missing element we needed. Back then the top order was very unstable and middle barely held together by Kallis and Klusner being an excellent finisher with Pollock, Symcox etc meh.. annoyed the crap out of me that CSA allowed them force non-coexistence.

Re game.. looks a tight finish. Nzl always are good with keeping things tight defending but they lose their nerve when opportunity doesn’t present themselves.

Really well played by Barbar so far. And who said Pakistan can't chase :p

I’m wondering if this is the year they peak at the right time

Harris into the attack now too.. the interesting thing compared to SA is this.. they not taking undue chances

Yeah, unlike England that think they can hit everything out the park. Admittedly it did work for England in the one game.

Australia are already through basically - SL will lose at least one of their games against SA, WI and India. SL are the only team outside the top 4 that can get to 12.

Not bad when you consider where the Aussie's form was a little while ago. Getting Warner and Smith back must have been a big morale boost for the change-room.

Hope Pakistan throw a spanner in the works and edge out the hosts

What an enjoyable world cup this has been so far. So glad we're not seeing every second game lost by the team batting second chasing an un-gettable 320+.

South Africa then looks like the only team that doesn't actually want to win this world cup?

I hate to bring them up again but boy oh boy. That lot needs to be investigated for match-fixing. There, I said it.

I couldn’t disagree more with just about every point.
