If you told me we would be level with Windies at this stage of the competition, I would have taken it
One weakness I've noticed about India's bowling lineup is that their bowlers struggle when defending a small total. They seem to need the batters to really go after them to be effective.12 overs, 6 for 25 from the opening bowlers...that's scary. If they bowl like that for the remainder of the tournament, the kinda soft Indian batting line-up won't have to do much.
I couldn’t disagree more with just about every point.
That's a weird thing to say.Hopefully we lose today. The last thing we need now is to finish the tournament on a high. The worse we do the better.

That's possibly the dumbest thing I've read today. It would be upsetting if we were to start performing now that the pressure is off and we spoil another team's chances.
What would be more upsetting is that we won't make the administrative changes needed after the tournament if they manage to safe face now and start performing. We tend to have a short memory and be happy with mediocrity. It would be upsetting if we were to start performing now that the pressure is off and we spoil another team's chances.
Bigger picture, we already lost this tournament, I care about the future more than the moment. That's a weird thing to say.

Yeah. I'm not dum enough.Don't expect everyone to understand![]()

It's so much better to build a future off a confident base than the gutter.
The feeling within the team and the structure around it will be more positive and will make for better leadership decisions. I'm not talking about the fans and spectators confidence.I don't see how *anything* that happens with our remaining two games can ever inspire any sort of 'confidence' when we come back home. Because if you think that can be the case, it's no better than our government who tell us the country is doing well because our unemployment is still under 30%.
Even if we do win our last two games, that's 3/9 (yes, one was a rain-out) - that's 33%. That inspires as much confidence in me than hiring someone who passed matric with 30%.
