- Better batting performance than the last game.
- Bowling was below par - leaked too many easy boundaries and extras (21).
- Fielding below par - didn't take tight chances and/or gave away runs.
- We chased the score less the extras at least 330-21=309.

We still shouldn't be losing to them..
I don't think that's fair to Bangladesh. There are no real bad teams (except maybe SA) in this edition of the world cup. It's not like you before when you could rock up against and Ireland or a Netherlands and sort of expect a win. Every team here has the competence and the players to win the tournament.

This is a different way to start a World Cup campaign for us. We're gonna have to beat some big teams now.

Have to agree with the preparation thing though.

Bankrupt CSA relies on the IPL fee for pimping our players in the IPL.

Who has time to prioritise World Cup against coaches recommendations - now blame Otis Gibson for poor performance.

At the innings break the Bangladesh captian said that everyone in the dressing room is positive that they have enough runs to defend.

Smith our ex captain was chatting and said that the South Africans will be stressing about losing the game. They don’t want to go down two games and then have to face India.

And that’s the reason we don’t win.

If our domestic system was so poor we wouldn't be in the top 4 in all formats. Our domestic players who go over to county cricket as either overseas or kolpak boss it over there.

There is simply no evidence to support our system is poor.

We also loss to Bangladesh in 2007...
It takes time for that form to filter down though.

Once Amla, Steyn, JP, Imran and AB retire, who replaces them?

Where those world class spinners, openers, fast bowlers and all rounders that our domestic cricket is supposedly churning out? Where those stellar SA A results suggesting that our domestic league is strong and healthy?

Losing players to foreign leagues does nothing to strengthen domestic cricket. Just look at the effect its had on our domestic rugby.

Except sa.. Our ranking and the reality are just not equivalent anymore.

And yes.. Have a bad game and lose.. I get that... But the sa team at the moment would lose to anyone at the world cup in my opinion... Even if we had what we would call a good game.

Is 7 suppose to be bad? 4 years ago they were 12. Also they are only 4 points behind Pakistan in 6th.
Yeah, 7th is bad. When has SA ever been ranked 7th in ODI cricket? I think we would weep the day we were, so going down to 7th is.... bad....

I'm not sure what free stream I got, but smith was commentating for large parts of the game. He heavily criticised faf for not having a plan b, being one dimensional and for choosing the field first.

If we batted first and posted 309 we would have won with ease.

Pathetic before a ball was even bowled.

Next game we'll probably bat first and Kohli will chase it down with 5 overs to spare.

No imagination and playing to a specific opposition. Faf now crying about today not going according to plan, lol...
He says things didn't start well with Ngidi getting injured.
Looking at his stats maybe it was a blessing.

Outplayed. Think there's an outside chance of qualification. But we're done now with India coming up.

A team makes 300 and still loses

FAF must step down as captain if they don't make the play-off.

SA in World Cup is like Bangalore in IPL - great on paper, horrid in tournament, except we're **** on paper as well.
