Have you seen those conditions over there ? the ball is moving all over the show. Time for Ottis to show us just how his bowling coaching techniques are working if at all ...

I don't see how any passionate SA supporter can be anything but totally distraught and devastated by the poor performances of the team to date?

This for me is incredibly painful to watch but I will watch and I will hope and pray for the impossible... and if SA is the 1st team not to qualify for semis I will be fcking p issed off and I have every right to be!

I pay to be a supporter and a fan, whether it's the occasional game at the Wanderers, or my R1000 DSTV subscription, or the Protea regalia currently sitting in my wardrobe!!

Now we are on

AB gave his all (sweat, blood and tears) in that disatrous CWC 2015 semi-finals against NZ. He was never the same ever since then. You could say that he lost his motivation to play for SA again. Same with Abbott who had to sit out to make room for out-of-form Philander. We are still seeing effects of that fsukup here on TV.

I'm not trolling when I say this but RIP cricket in SA.
That was pretty bizarre interference by the sports minister at that time. CSA was a bit too buddy buddy with politicians back then and probably still is

Relax good sir, it's not doom and gloom just yet, If we lose this we then will have to win all our matchs and hope and pray some other teams keep the points down.

When 3 teams start to pull away in the points table then yes ALARM bells but keep the faith ! We just need luck to keep them all within striking distance

If not then it's time to go watch something else :)

Good to be positive.

Rabada could have India 5 down very quickly on this pitch, so we have a chance.

(I did pick India on Superbru though)

I still think that if you can get Kohli and to a lesser extent Sharma early, India could fold. They rely so heavily on those two. Of course, Dhoni still comes in and has this annoying habit of getting his team out of seemingly hopeless situations. If we can have them 100/4 with Kohli back in the hut, it's game on.

Great partnership for the 8th wicket, leaves us in with a sniff.

Only way we going to win this is by bowling India out... can't see that happening but you never know with cricket.

Looks a good batting pitch. Mr Bean is an incredibly skilled bowler and was unplayable early on, more down to his skill set, than the conditions. I hope our openers are going to get the same purchase out of this deck. Not optimistic based on what we've seen thus far though...

Hats off to Rabada and Morris for the fight back. Not a total I think we can defend but anything can happen.

Sven: "@Ian, anyone that thinks the Proteas have a chance here is holding onto some sort of hope for the underdog, which most neutrals would have in this case. But realistically there is a very small chance of stopping a side with the quality they have in this lineup, and then the level headedness of Dohni in the middle order. This is the best chasing side in the world, add 100 runs to this score and I still believe it would be done pretty easily."

Sven is either a troll, deliberately trying to jinx the Indians or hasn't seen how this line up has folded before. That said, it is unlikely that the Indians will fall here. Stranger things have happened many a time before in this hallowed game.

Very well batted Chris Morris. To a greater or lesser extent, pulled the top order's chestnuts out of the fire.
