Well, it is my religion and I respect the laws of my religion.

BS. There are plenty of religious laws you happily ignore because they are clearly unacceptable to modern society. When last did you some an adulterer?

Love it how people justify things.

My daughters labia minora are way to long and her clitoral hood also overhangs too much. The wife and I have decided that labia & clitoral hood reduction would be good surgeries for her to have. It will be cleaner, less smegma and just easier too manage (ask any urologist/gynae and they will confirm women have more smega, uti's and other issues). This will have no impact on her sex life and would probably increase her sensitivity due to the clitoral hood reduction.

Did we injure our daughter? No
Did we disfigure our daughter? No
Did we make her vagina imperfect? No
Did we irrepareably damage her vagina? No

Don't tell me this is mutilation because she is a girl. These procedures are not illegal and many adult women elect to have these procedures done so therefore it cannot be mutilation.

Any comments?

If anyone took a knife to my daughter I would take that same knife to their face.

Will do the same if I had a son.

Well, my respect for your religion ends when it comes to cutting new borns and unnecessarily letting a animal suffer during slaughter.

And if your religion said you must cut of the left earlobe of all your babies, both boys & girls, would you do it?

After all it's a useless piece of skin with zero function.

Because I'm not getting into a religious debate. I've said what I've wanted. My son is circumcised - it's done. Call me or what I've done what you like. Hate my religion, I couldn't care. I have bigger issues to deal with in life. This debate will go nowhere. You have your opinions, I have mine.

You were asked if you would find similar genital mutilation of girls acceptable. The question has nothing to do with your religion.

Putting words in peoples mouths again. I don't recall seeing anyone saying they hate Judaism in this thread.

Maybe because of this attitude of "it is my religion and that is that" is why that one court in Germany actually banned cutting baby boys on religious grounds.

There was no hate. You are the one that brought religion into it as your reason.

I asked you some very simple questions which should be relatively easy to answer, why not simply answer them honestly?

Yes. I respect the traditional aspects of my religion and if that's what my forefathers had been doing for years, I would have done it.

Yeesh :erm:

Is it safe to assume you also have no problem with parents tattooing their babies?
