haven't been able to get my online services up and running either, kind of given up really. you can call customer service on 0861 111 011. the automated answering system offers the option to send your balance/statement via sms. you can maybe use that in the meantime
Or try dialling the ussd number

No, well I never did. Reflects online within a day or so, just log on like 5 consecutive times and it should be back
I logged in a dozen times today, and even 5 or 6 times consecutively, but ABNA doesn't reflect. Hope this is resolved by the start of next month when we need online to withdraw.

Yes, I've done R4k a couple of times. Most shops around here are only willing to do R3k though.
Did a single 4k POS withdrawal at till today, worked first time.

Then tried R200, failed as expected.

Head office queried with card division regarding supposed 5k POS daily limit, but still have no idea what's going on.

Guys,
The ABNA i understand as:
1. Swipe FNBCC in the AB branch
2. Go online, give notice and 7 days later, it is back in your account.
And that shows as instore spend... (thanks to zero for this lesson)

But the AB cc I still dont understand... please school me

Does the withdrawal have to be done while buyin something from the store?

Its the only way i found it to work, they do the "cash back/refund option" drawing cash like the fnb card never workd.

i will prob try my first POS withdrawal with CC tomorrow, so i want to be sure i understand this correctly. if i go to the till and tell them i want to withdraw R4000, it will not work. if i tell them i want to buy this arbitrary item AND withdraw R4000, it would work, correct?

why exactly does this work? do they enter the withdrawal transaction in a different way? are there any instructions i should give them?

Its because the 2 transactions are 2 different types of transactions.

1) If you go to the till and withdraw direct from card, that is called cash at till, same as drawing cash from atm. Usually you can do this on your cheque card and debit card types only. (exceptions apply)
2) If you buy random item and ask for R4000, that is called cashback and piggy back on the first POS transaction. This usually work on all card types, including credit cards.

my fnb CC ispaid up.. its actually in the positive, but these ****s still saying i only qualify for 5k L O A N!!! wtf

i stand to be corrected, but the impression i got from them it that they place particular emphasis on the number of credit facilities. one credit card, even if kept in good standing for years, might not be enough. said credit card, along with a small loan, and maybe throw in an edgars account. now that would likely do the trick.

i've been struggling with this for a month now. branch doesn't know what to do, customer service center doesn't know what to do, head office doesn't know what to do. for the sake of my own sanity, i just gave up...

would appreciate a PM if you manage to get yours up and running at some point

I finally managed to get the USSD code method working and check my balances and also to change my Pin.

Its not very secure though, if you select the forgot Pin option, it allows to get into your account with only your ID number.

When withdrawing from the NA, do you need to leave R500 in, to keep the account open or can you withdraw all?
