Has anyone tried ABCC with Virgin Money Spot? I'm getting a "do not honour" error.

Benefits I see are the free coffee, free mag, free next day online delivery for food items plus vip loyalty status including vouchers etc. You can also increase artificial spend in less time than the ab notice account (not sure if any card warming issues here though I think that only happens with abcc). Still not a must have but could be beneficial to some, maybe they take it out with an ultra low limit to hinder any possibility of fraud.

Arent you forgetting the ww reward loyalty voucher programme ww has on the spending on the card, like 1% back for feul swipes, and like 0.75% or mor on non ww purchases, basically instead of earning 0.5% back on ebucks after maxing caps n qualifying cap limits it will be better to do xtra spend on wwcc than on fnbcc.

Not sure I follow? How is swiping for 20k at WW quicker than swiping for 20k at AB branch?

These percentages are not much higher than the 0.5% return so not really much of a benefit in my opinion

At AB you have to wait 8 days before you can get it back.
Ok, thought you meant queues at branch.

Although counter point would be that money in ABNA grows, even if just for 23 days per month.

I applied for wwcc yesterday, contract got finalised today. The card should be ready by Sat/Sun.

My reason for wwcc over abcc.
1. wwcc will replace my abna, i no longer have to wait 7 days.
2. No AB closer to my house or office, so going to a AB branch is a pain. WW on the other hand is a walk away from the office and 1km from my house.
3. With abcc i have to handle cash - withdraw and deposit

I will only use wwcc to increase in store spend.
Online spend i will stick to Slide - 5k per month (i dont need more than that)

Exactly the same reasons here...
Applied for mine on Sunday night. Card is ready for collection today. Great service.

How long do payments to WWCC take to reflect?

Paid into my WWCC account today, nothing reflecting on online banking yet.

Also is there an app or USSD code to quickly check WWCC balances etc? The website is not at all mobile friendly.

From the FAQ for WWCC
http://www.woolworths.co.za/store/f...yCjlX!1564803038?faqId=cat701365&content=faqs

Besides calling into the call centre, where else can I view my balances?

Here's a list of our alternative self service solutions:
Balance enquiries (straight facility) can be done at any ABSA ATM in South Africa
Log in or register online. Once you've linked your card details to your online account, you'll be able to log on anytime to view your balances
Download the app https://m.woolies.co.za
You can also dial *120*985# on your cell phone and follow the instructions

Has anyone found a retailer where you can withdraw more than R3k? I tried 3 different checkers and they all said their limit is R3k.

Maximum I got was R5k from one retailer (if you want to mass withdraw, you need to drive from retailer to retailer)

at pnp, i was able to draw max 4k at a time. after the 4k, trying even to draw R200 on the same day failed.

at checkers, cashier told me that their limit is 3k, so I drew 3k at one till, walked over to another till and draw another 1k.

both speedster and i were only able to draw max 4k per day.
