Yeah the jews run alot in America, but the Saudi's alone hold plenty of sway. A large % of the US economy in their pockets :eek:

I do not recall the minister claiming there was a conspiracy. I do not recall the minister claiming that all Jews are in on it.

I will at this point state the obvious in saying that there is a massive difference between Jews and Zionists, even if most Zionists are Jews.

Call it whatever you want, but there are pro-Israeli groups within America who have too much influence on American politics.

What I find offensive is the idea that no one is allowed to point this out simply because other people may or may not be offended by it. If the truth is offensive, then something should be done about the truth, not the person stating it.

Also since america is a real democracy, groups of citizens, in this case pro-israeli, actually can stand up and be heard. What you seem to be missing here is the fact that the Israel lobby is largely Christian in America. In countries where the ruling party is actually worried about winning the next election instead how best to rob and rape their people, the governments actually listen to their constituents and act. Its called serving the people and is something we are sorely lacking in South Africa. Why you think this constitutes "too much influence on american politics" escapes me.

I have no problem with you or anyone else talking about pro-israel lobbies in america. They're not some secret organisation where the blood of gentiles is made into unleavened bread. What I have a problem with is how a member of whats laughingly called my government can say this:

Why is the deputy minister of foreign affairs mentioning Jews at all? Especially so at a COSATU rally? It was an anti-semitic outburst finished and klaar.

If you make a statement that western countries are run by "Jewish Money" you are stating that jews are effectively in control of those countries and that the governments have little choice. In my mind not only is that a ridiculous assertion (5,5 million jews in a country of 350 million people) but it amounts to the same as all of the other Jewish conspiracies I quoted above.

Its typical "Jews as scape-goat" for everything that goes wrong slander and it is unacceptable.

On the point of her apology I do not feel she apologised for anything. She apologised for hurting peoples feelings but at no point took back any of her comments. I guess we'll just have to see what the human rights commission has to say about it.

There are 14 million Jews in the world out of 6,5 billion people. That is 0,2 percent of the world with almost half of them living in Israel... Does anyone really believe the Jews are controlling world governments?

Deputy Foreign Minister Fatima Hajaig's anti-Semitic remarks, made at a rally in January, have earned her a dressing down from President Kgalema Motlanthe.

The president had "held discussions" with Hajaig, following Cabinet's fortnightly meeting on Wednesday morning, government spokesman Themba Maseko told a media briefing at Parliament.

The deputy minister had "expressed her deep regret to the president for making the statement", he said.

Some of those sites are hate sites... actually Jewish influence in the post WW1 world was not a secret and a Jewish businessman Benjamin H. Freedman who later converted to Christianity was one of those who spoke openly about it claiming he was once part of this elite group of Jews.

His articles/writings is what most anti-semitic sites use.

America is only this term again a democracy. Remember that Bush was not voted into power democratically, it was influenced and everybody knows that. (Florida).
