"We have a plan to keep the lights on" would have been a much better campaign to run with imo. Anc bashing is old and tiresome, they need to offer solutions, not point out that the sky is blue.
Exactly but it seems like it's impossible for the DA to leave the ANC out of it's campaign.

Maybe you need to widen your scope and look at US, UK, other European or Aussie elections. The opposition parties always, without fail, bash the governing party (and vice-versa). Quite a famous British Election poster circa the late 1970s or early 1980s.

Remind me how those desalination plants turned out?
They turned out just fine, especially if you take into consideration that hey were planned and built under emergency conditions.

Having the incorrect filters for an unexpected algae bloom, was an unforeseen hiccup, but luckily there was the foresight to rather shut the plants down when that happened instead of destroying them by going full steam ahead.

So late and over budget is "turned out just fine".

You expect a political party to explain why people in this country gravitate towards corruption & big men like the Guptas flashing their money, instead of voting intelligently? Lol.

People expect a lot from the DA, stuff they won't expect from the ANC in a million years.

It's almost like there's 2 distinct classes of voters, clever blacks who are expected to vote for the DA, and then the Zuma crowd who vote ANC.

So much for equality then, the DA must fix everything but the ANC can just carry on. Where's their list of things to do right for a change?
The ANC wins national elections, the DA does not...simple as that. ...why is that, is the true question the DA should be asking themselves.

I saw a da poster yesterday that said "honest cops".

Lots of confirmation bias in the haters here

The black majority does not vote FOR the ANC...they vote AGAINST the whites, first and foremost.

The DA is seen, by the vast majority of the black voters, as the representation of the whites that began Apartheid and also those that want apartheid back again.

Politics in this country is not fought on the ideological front, but black against white.

The DA is not far behind the ANC from stealing the lights. I wonder why the DA went all out accusing people of being racists on social media when they mentioned AA as a cause of the problems at Eskom. The DA is no better than the ANC and you have to be crazy, or perhaps even an ANC supporter to support the DA.
