Yeah, too many larnies who don't understand anything about the Liberation struggle, I am going to start an MK thread and none of you lot would be allowed in there.Someone touched you on your ANC studio?
That's correct. The rest probably started voting around De Klerk's time/Botha's decline (late 70's - late 80's).The point is that one minute we are hearing how most former NP voters are dead
They do have a point since they actually lived through it?the next we are hearing about guys who served in the SADF and who proclaim themselves to be more qualified to talk about Apartheid than us as they lived through it.
Don't forget about the DP later on.You do know there were other parties around including Conservative and HNP, by your reasoning surely SADF members, been conservative would have voted for one of them.

The key is to combine both sides both from the "SADFs" themselves and what we know now about the system. To form one single coherent viewpoint on the system. You cannot have a view with either side missing. Otherwise, you're dishonest.
Yes. The SA Politics Thread should suit all our SA political needs.Nah, I am just joking, the DA thread must be close to its natural death by now, Herr Vrot can just dump a series of tweets and images in there and it should be at its limit. It will be like good old times again, I promise not to start DA in Crisis 2.
Just unusual that you would include the SADF in the same sentence. So far, we've only seen people say that they voted for Suzmann during Apartheid who actually had a very small following. The point is that nobody admits to supporting conservative parties be it the NP, KP etc.
Just unusual that you would include the SADF in the same sentence.
Politics is funny the FF+ as they are today would have been viewed by some then as "traitors"
Damn.Politics is funny the FF+ as they are today would have been viewed by some then as "traitors"
It's possible to agree with someone even if your ideologies don't like up 1:1 btw, it's completely possible that they agreed with her generally but not on certain other things.Yes, my point with mentioning the SADF is that if guys were around then, they are bound to have been around at the time of those parties. Many of them have very conservative views so I'd find it hard to believe they all supported Suzmann.
DP was never around then it only came later 1989, Helen Suzman was lone voice for National elections first as Progressive Party, then Progressive Federal Party.Don't forget about the DP later on.
That's why I said "later on"...DP was never around then it only came later 1989, Helen Suzman was lone voice for National elections first as Progressive Party, then Progressive Federal Party.
If you think this is a circus, wait until you see the American politics threads. Both this and DA crisis, honestly.
We know. Too leftist for your liking.I for one have never voted NP. Ever.
American politics is always a circus. On MyBB, Twitter, etc. Hence why I avoid it like the plague, it's just stupidity^1000.wait until you see the American politics threads.
OK but as an option the DP never appeared on the ballot list prior to 94.That's why I said "later on"...
So that's an assumption then.Yes, my point with mentioning the SADF is that if guys were around then, they are bound to have been around at the time of those parties. Many of them have very conservative views so I'd find it hard to believe they all supported Suzmann.
It's entertaining. I jumped into the deep end 2 years ago, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Learned quite a bit in the process.American politics is always a circus. On MyBB, Twitter, etc. Hence why I avoid it like the plague, it's just stupidity^1000.
American politics is the epitome of "us vs them" mentality politics. No acquiescing or agreeing with someone you usually don't, it's either "you agree with me 1:1" or "you're my sworn enemy".
Republican or Democrat, woke or conservative, they act the same way, yet complain about how the other acts towards them. The bitches really need a true multi-party democracy.
P.S Sorry for the tangent.
Agree to disagree.It's entertaining.
I'm not saying that Nothing Box spins a lot, but if he was a silkworm, everybody would have had multiple sets of silk clothes by now.Ok, sure.
Just cause they served in the SADF, doesn't automatically make them NP voters? According to that logic, current SANDF members all vote for the ANC?
