And if you think the current crop don't have a clue, hold my beer for the future crop -

Yes !! That will fix it !

Not a fsking clue !!

Come on Eskom, just stop loadshedding for a month, mkay ?

How do they use a fork without going blind.
Such language and ideas show a clear sign of lack of education... This goes to my previous post that the ANC should have focused on skills development and education when they took power. Presumably ANCYL's purpose is to provide ANC its future leaders. That's a scary thought to have... Nothing has changed since its Malema days.

I mean, surely they realise one cannot stop load-shedding? It's not like the ailing power stations will all of sudden work efficiently and properly until matric is over.

Also, do they realise issues aren't primarily with leadership, but mainly with an acute lack of specialist skills that take years to build up, as well as a bloated middle management that is protected by the trade unions?

Yes, starting from Zuma. Despite certain governance misgivings, the Mandela and Mbeki years were not entirely bad. Especially the Mbeki years that largely benefitted the middle and upper classes. Which is why so many South Africans returned to South Africa in 2009-2011 during the financial crisis. I honestly believe the World Cup in 2010 symbolically represents the peak of ANC governance, and since then it's been a rollercoaster-like drop. The Zuma years have completely (or almost completely) destroyed many accomplishments, and Ramaphosa is reaping the "rewards" of Zuma's governance. Ramaphosa's current inability to deal with it and push through needed reforms, will mean that Zuma's legacy will be his as well. Hence, why the ANC is in total crisis.
Literally started with corruption - Arms deal ring a bell? Sarafina?

ANC started with thieving, and kept at it.

I'm quite new to South Africa. Does anyone have a list of ANC success stories? I've looked and not found anything credible. Perhaps I need a different search engine.
Economic growth in the first 6 or so years post 94 was stellar due to additional participation in the economy and the opening and subsequent investments that flowed into SA. The ANC also has gotten some basic services like running water, electricity etc to millions who previously did not have it (If they are paying for it is a separate discussion). They had their moments. Of late though there is just about nothing they have done well, or even average. Seems to be crap all the way down.

To summarize:
ANC 1994 - 2007, not half bad (good even at times)
ANC 2008 - now, the bane of SA's existence

Thanks for that Cius.

I also forgot the biggest thing the ANC has done right that is sometimes underappreciated and overlooked. The true legacy of Mandela. He stepped down after one term, and set a standard that is almost unique in Africa. A liberation party that had presidents who where not president for live. And the ANC has had to stick to that because of how strongly the example was set. Zuma was terrible but he went at the end of his term unlike every other strong man of Africa. Sometimes I think that above all else distinguishes us from many, but not all, of our African counterparts.

Been touting private generation for years. These clowns only exhibit any sense of urgency when their weekly 'kickbacks' are light or late. The rest of the time they play play politicians.

They take years discussing policy, years passing policy, years implementing policy.

Totally f ucking inept and generally useless organisation.
