The Apple Vision Pro will launch in February

As far as for gaming goes, it's pretty much a dead end device. You are way too limited with hand-tracking, it has not motion controllers. Most videos are just people doing normal things with the headset whilst watching a youtube video. If one start wondering why did they not ship with optional controllers, it can be one two things:

The whole point of releasing a products only rich people can afford is to create FOMO, so that their next headset sells a lot. Everyone knows about the product, but very very few people actually have it.
The panels suck for VR gaming, if moving your head causes a kind of blur, then any active VR game like beat saber will turn into a really bad experience.

I’m not convinced. This isn’t helping him much with the actual task. I expected an exploded view of the systems so he can choose which one he wants to focus on. In his case, he realistically has to pause and rewind the video multiple times - lost productivity.

Nonetheless, the potential is there.

The more people buy this thing, the faster Apple will be able to develop this potential. People need to start buying this and not being in the US is not an excuse, as you can get it from third parties.

Unfortunately for humanity, I will only afford this after 10 years of saving. Apple will no longer be supporting this model so I’ll need to save another 10 years from then to afford the then model. Except it will also no longer be supported.

Rinse and repeat.

I’m trying to imagine bringing hands covered with engine grease anywhere near a R60,000 pristine gadget….
