The same can be said for Stuard Broad ?> .......his **** regardless.
Vd. Merwe is a good bowler and should play in the 50:50, his batting style is quite obvious, Mr6 or Mr, niks.

In tests if you batted like that it might work once every 100 innings.

I agree he is good enough for the ODIs and T20 but a player like that is not ready (might never be ready) for test cricket.

Test cricket is definitely of a higher quality and everyone who watches cricket often would know this. Most importantly, the players know test cricket is the greatest form and most still don't take T20 that seriously.
Look at our tests series victory in Aus. That achievement was something no T20 tournament could equal, it's even on par with the World Cup.

to me it is 2 different games, test cricket and T20, weather the ICC likes it or not will eventually end up as 2 separate games.

I think the ICC will try use T20 to attract people from other countries to the game. A good tactic actually, but the amount of T20 tournaments will hopefully stop growing. Otherwise T20 will go into overkill and people will get sick of it, just like has happened with ODIs. A good mixture between the 3 is good I think and keeps everyone happy.

Just reading all that makes me sick of T20. The ICC are just shooting themselves in the foot if they do this. The whole excitement of T20 is that it's innovative and modern and a change from tests.

I'm getting pretty bored of T20 already, same thing over and over...

There's going to be a lot less domestic 1st class cricket played, and I'm thinking that the 50 overs games is going to start to disappear quickly after the 2011 World cup. Especially if its as boring as the last one.

There's still the ICC trophy (50 overs) to be played this year, and that's usually boring.

They are looking to change the ODI game. Thinking of changing it so that every team bats twice for 25 overs. No idea if every innings you will have 10 wickets (which IMO is stupid) or if it will be 10 wickets over the two innings.

A hybrid test-odi - interesting concept. Not so sure how it will be received though. Might turn into a T20 style 2 innings slogout:p.

Your IQ dropped yet?

Strange that you even watch it alf.

The t20 world is kuk boring at the moment but it's going to heat up in the next few days :). The days of 50 over cricket are fast coming to an end.

The ICC will have to realize that we do not have 4-5 days to watch a game anymore, the T20 being 2-3 hours is perfect for the working person hence it is more popular.

Yup 4-5 days is just crazy if you ask me, specially on a pitch that is hard to score runs, then you simply block out a draw for 5 days.

OMG BORING. Limit 5 day cricket to x amount of overs, say 115 overs an innings or something. Call it something else as well as it may not always make 5 days but then many tests do not make 4 days :p, get teams wanting to win and not wanting to draw and then it will be more exciting, the aussies play awesome 5 day cricket because their main goal is not to block 90% of the deliveries.

Typical thought process of a low-IQ T20 fan.
