With Eskom's almost 19% increase in electricity, it will be interesting to see how this increase affects inflation rates - will inflation jump a little, or will we also follow in the UK's footsteps, with a double-digit inflation rate (10.7% in November 2022).

It is nice to read that employers are considering upping their salary budgets this year to retain and attract good employees, despite the current global economy uncertainties. While an average of 6,1% sounds great, that increase will soon be gobbled up by continuous rising inflation . Good employees deserve to be rewarded with really sweet increases, without having to fight for it.
