Yes, I stopped supporting the Proteas when they kept on Chocking. The Springbok's supporters also walked away when Rugby went bad for awhile. Who wants to back a loser?

Well you are just a fair weather glory supporter, who's opinion means less than the EFF.

Let me guess former United supporter now a City Supporter?

Like most people, I don't get up in the morning thinking about Sports. There is more to life than getting attached to symbolism.
I enjoy playing and watching a good game, but I am not going to fly a flag for the relegated nation.

Their 7th placement on the league table isn't exactly the same as Bafana Bafana who is a national embarrassment at this stage.

That Roman senators used the Gladiatorial Games to distract the population form the corruption in the empire. The sports might have changed, but the strategy is as as old as human kind.
The actual opiate of the masses

Still happens once celebrations dust settles down. We've won major competitions in sport before but look where we are today.

Ok. You go off and find me the passionate supporters of a relegated third league Football team.
My father was a Moroka Swallows FC fan until their demise. Now, he just watches football because he loves the sport.

If that gives him meaning and purpose then good for him. I get that people are passionate about Sport, I never understood it for myself though. Each to his own.

Back on topic, the EFF strikes me as the most ungrateful lot in SAs history. Nothing will ever be good enough for them, it must be really difficult waking up each morning thinking that every white person has his foot on their throats.

I don't think they believe it for a minute, it just suits them to play that narrative... They have found their niche in SA politics, the radical mob that will keep them in parliament and government salaries and give them just enough influence that they can secure their place in the corruption chain.

I still believe this country would be much better off (not perfect) but much better if the politicians just tried their best to unite people instead of using every opportunity to make it about race

Malema has, but someone like Ndlozi is full of hatred. He is also equiped with a Phd in resentment.

for his PHD thesis. It is basically a degree in victimhood.

what the last week has shown, there is enough good men and woman of goodwill , decent South Africans - to make this place work.. we need patriots, not politicians.
