Not sure the price on this battery one website said 70K, for two Hubble AM-2 (5.5kwh each), you can get that for 50K +-. I'd go for Sunsynk over Deye, panels are pretty much the same.
There is no real difference between the two. Deye manufactures the inverters for Sunsynk (they are made in the same factory) who then puts their own branding on it along with different software that has a more "western" feel to it.

Support and software differences is what I wanted.

Yup seems to be the case, will check the next one.

Maybe consider buying the hardware and just getting an electrician to fit it all?

While having future proof hardware is great you can get away much cheaper if all you want is loadshedding survival. (All Lights, routers, a tv, a few plug points)

The following is from communica:

A mecer MKS 3K R8200
4 Vision 100amp batteries R11000
2 300w solar panels R5000
Install + consumables R5000
=R29200

Anyone buying LA batteries today should be taken out back and put down. LA can only cycle once a day and we all know Eskom can only only give us power 3 times a day therefore 3 cycles a day which is not possible with LA.

LA is perfectly fine if you don't abuse them by under provisioning. The above setup will drop maybe 20-30% with the load I suggested in a 2,5h load shed at night. And if the sun is shining with the solar panels running maybe 5-10%. Sure we all want the latest tech but it comes at a cost which not everyone wants to commit to. In 5 years when the LA start to show their age you can decide again whether you are ready to commit to more.

Up to 5 years, or they "show their age" 2 months after the warranty is over, or rather only one of them "shows it's age", but now you have to replace all of them.

You can get 2.4kWh LFP for R11000ish which comes with a warranty that's longer than 6 months and with the minuscule DoD as written above, it should last a lifetime and could probably hand it down to your grandchildren when your estate gets settled.

Seconded, especially someone who spends R11k on them, it's an unforgivable crime.

If that's true obviously go for the LFP but from what I've seen they are closer to R16K+ which is a fair amount on a budget system. LA has been used for decades before lithium became common they don't all fail as much as its made out to be.

You can at least go for 2 x S-100 hubble's for R10k. Just buy it from the place offering 10 year warranty. That will give you the same capacity as 4 LA.

Thank goodness I ordered the 2 Hubble AM2s. Again last night cables were stolen in Centurion and no power from 12:00 last night. Nothing is being done to prevent future thefts and it is now a weekly thing.

My install can't happen soon enough. This bs is not going to end anytime soon.

I'd have to disagree from experience and from others experience but there may be others who have experienced differently. As an example, my wife bought us four of these back in late 2019 at a cost of R12,200.20 but they are going for R15299.60 now according to Sinetech's website.

I have heard of PylonTech US3000C's going for around R17k - R18k recently which is a far, far, far better buy.

Edit:

I see they now 18k so looks like I bought at the right time.

Hoping for a record month. Highest was in December with just over 1.6MWh. This was before I added the extra panels in April this year.

Already over 12MWh for the year and should get to 15MWh by 31 Dec. Screenshot_20211123-091254_SOLARMAN%20Business.jpg Screenshot_20211123-091241_SOLARMAN%20Business.jpg Screenshot_20211123-091323_SOLARMAN%20Business.jpg

Yes, a good friend owns a large battery company and is getting updated pricing for me but gave me an indication, another friend runs a small UPS/backup/loadshedding, ESS company and gave me a rough idea of current cost, another friend bought two B versions last year at roughly the same price and a member of a WhatsApp group I am on sent me pricing privately earlier this year but it was unbelievably low.
