Got my roofing guys to help install the mounting for the solar panels, and load up the panels on the roof for installation. I just finished with the cabling, should be able to use some of this solar goodness in a day or two once I get the rest of the wiring done downstairs.

395W panels x 24, in 3 strings of 8, for a total of 9.5KW...ish

Done and dusted. What a mission lifting them at 43kg each.

I’ve changed the charge profile but am still a little confused about the boost duration default settings on my MPPT.

Need to call sosolar to double check what they recommend.
It says max charging current 0.1C-0.25C, so 150 x 0.1 = 15A-37.5A. I figure 20A is the happy medium between speed and longevity.

150Ah divide 20A = 7.5 hours charge time FYI.

Yeah thanks, I googled a bit after that. Have kept the UPS that will be used tonight at the low setting which is approx 20A.

At 2pm I let the MPPT charge it and tracked the progress. I found it interesting it was still throwing in 100w at float charge but I guess it’s to top it up.

The UPS sucks because I can’t track nor see the actual Amps it is charging it at.

I’ll be watching the MPPT stats though when lodshedding hits me at 8to10 tonight, and then again at 2am to 4am. I hope the 4 hours is good enough for a full charge. I do plan on ensuring I draw a max of 350w for the two hours on average to decrease the discharge state so it is fully charged.

Tomorrow morning it will be great to see the voltage graph of everything... I must actually add in a battery percentage graph into my rpi tracker.

Obviously my numbers are for 12V, so I would assume you halve the amps at 24V?

I’v just purchased the Sunsynk 8kw hybrid inverter and 2 Hubble 5.5kw batteries.
Where did you buy the hubble's from?
I'm looking to buy an AM-2 at the end of this month (I already have a inverter. not installed yet).

Hubbles are available from The Powerforum Store, if you are quick you may manage to catch their special on AM-2s.

Exactly. If Pylons were built as poorly as they claimed you’d have such reports all over the internet. I stopped going to that site specifically because of such (and other) claims being bandied about
