Actually uptime during loadshedding is not a priority for me. It's more of a convenience thing. I won't mind to turn off my laptop brick and additional screen if the inverter battery is going flat.
If I get the hubble s-100 12V lithium battery will i be able to use the same inverter? I cant find any user guide for this battery.
My inverter cuts off power when the battery goes below 10v.
Yes you can use the same inverter.

Should I just get rid of this inverter and battery and get a new setup all together? This is less than an year old and hardly used possibly 12 -15 cycles.
I want to invest in something that will last for the next 5 years at least.
Sounds like you got a dud battery that's been sitting on the shelf for too long.

Hubble S-100 will last 5 years, probably 10, maybe even 15.

I bought it last time when there was loadshedding, used it for a couple of times and then loadshedding stopped. Dint actually use it, But it was always connected to the inverter and on throughout the day.

What you should have done was take a multimeter with you when you went shopping and reject any batteries that had a voltage less than 12.6-13V. When a battery sits on a shelf (worse when it's hot) it looses charge over time. You probably got a battery that was at a low voltage like 12V or less (sitting on a shelf for 3 months), which permanently damages the battery if it sits for a long time at low voltage (Sulfation)

lesson learnt in a hard way :)

The problem is the cutoff voltage in that inverter is 10v and from what i am reading lithium batteries go flat at around 11.5v
Yes, the BMS in the battery will cut off the inverter at 11.5V so achieving the same result. I see hubble has 11V cutoff.
The difference is the battery doesn't get damaged. Also, lithium has a very flat discharge curve meaning from fully charge to almost empty the voltage doesn't change much, and is not affected my high or low loads. If you have a high load on LA, the capacity decreases. Not so with LFP which is pretty linear.

Can't find a discharge curve for the hubble but here is a standard deep cycle lead acid discharge curve:

With lithium you still get 100Ah at 1C or 0.05C

Thanks. I am planning to order it. Can I put the existing lead acid battery in parallel with this one or should I just get rid of the old lead calcium based?

No you can't mix them. You can probably get some bucks from the scrap.

I had some batteries that lasted 5 years, next lot 6 months, though the one battery seemed to just lose it's charge. Sadly with life there are always defective products.

Going to mantech today to get a voltmeter.
How does this look ?

No, get one that you can set the battery types and how many cells if lithium. You also want to see percentage.

Banggood has it for R100

I use these. I see they even less now. You can set it to monitor lead acid or lithium or even lipo.

You can also set it for the number of lithium’s you have in series etc

Works like a bomb.

Electronic things should preferably not work like a bomb

Hey all, if you'll had a choice, would you choose 2 x us3000c pylontech or 2 x hubble am2 5.5kw. Both around same price.
