Communicom has missed a key point. The primary difference between HSDPA and WiMAX is not about up and down link speeds or even latency. It is that WiMAX offers an end to end Quality of Service based on an all IP solution. QoS can be maintained from the CPE all the way through to the Core, allowing for Data, Voice, Video etc packets to be treated with the appropriate priorities. Up until now, no other Wireless Access Technology has given this level of control to both the Operator and the End User.

I think Nokia has anounced an experimental WiMax device (Model N8000 if I remember correctly)
