*EDIT* MediaMonkey gets the job done easily and efficiently *EDIT*

Hi guys,
I have been collecting my music for about 5 years now and my collection is a bit messy. I have some doubles, some songs where there is wrong info. And some songs with bad 'tags' and I want a clean collection. I would prefer if the app was free but don't mind paying a bit if it really works. It must just make sure it gives the right name, artist and album. And delete doubles.

Also if it could have:
1) Album Art would be nice.
2) My music is in lots of folders(in one large music folder), so if it could re-arrange them so there are only artists folders with inside it has album folders.

Thanks and let me know.

PS: If I have to use multiple programs I don't mind.

i have the same problem with songs and doubles but i don't understand how any of these programs wok so i end up either leaving it or deleting the files one by one.

I use MusicBrainz Picard and it is great as it validates tags against a massive online database. Been using it for quite a while and very happy with it.

You can use Musicbrainz right now to automatically identify and label your music files — all you have to do is download and run a MusicBrainz enabled tagger.

Okay so Musicbrainz is not nearly as good as MediaMonkey.

MediaMonkey is really great and I only have like 100 more songs to do in my collection. It is time consuming if you got a big collection but it is really worth it. It couldn't find a handful of songs but they are not proper songs.

It doesn't have ALL the album art but 90% does. It is very quick and I am happy with it. I do listen to underground/non-commercial Rap so that is why it probably didn't have all the album art.

If you have been collecting for 5 years did you ever in that time sorted your music? i've been collecting for about the same time and sort my new music every month, but for me the easiest is plain old and simple windows media player and update my music info and retrieves album art, but it only sorts your playlist.. in other words, manually
