So I've been Photoshop-ing quite a bit recently and there's an increasing collection of my meager creations that I'd like to share with the world.

I'm looking for a good, free, online blogging/website platform that will be most suitable for this particular purpose.

Would tumblr do the job?

On the note of WordPress, I have several blogs running on there already. However, I find WordPress not to be that suitable with images. Especially in my intended instance of having many high quality images.

Thanks!

EDIT: I'm still in varsity, so free stuff are just a tad important.

I don't think WordPress is the problem necessarily, it's more where and who you host with and the plugins you use to render the images. I'm no web developer though.

thechive.com uses wordpress for their site, and it's one big conglomeration of images and videos. Quite a few reputable image-orientated sites use WordPress. If we were looking for a simple image-orientated blog I'd consider WordPress.

You're right about thechive. Perhaps I should reconsider WordPress.

I've had a look at https://www.behance.net/ - it's quite nice too

Try squarespace.com. Great for portfolios. Plans from around $8/m.

Yes!

Certainly something like this.

The price has detered me. Hence, I'm now going to search 'squarespace free alternatives' on Google and see what I can find.
