The best ways to hide photos on your smartphone

Protecting private data is becoming increasingly important as the online transfer of media becomes easier and more prevalent.

With more apps storing sensitive data such as credit card information and bank account details, smartphone security is a serious consideration for users.

The problem with these and almost every other smartphone app I find these days is the bloat creep factor.
You get an app that you like, it does what it needs to, a few months later the damn thing has a million bloated crapware in it that no-one asked for.
It's at a point now where I don't even care about using my damn phone for more than basic messaging and photo's simply because most apps feel more like a chore than they are useful.

So many forumites creeping on this thread. Too scared to comment as it outs them for having pron on their phones.... :D

Private Mode on Android works for me.

I used Private Mode on my S6. Had a few things there. Backed up my phone to the PC using Smart Switch. Wiped the phone and restored the backup.

All my Private Mode content is gone.

Bwahahahahaha.... SO almost did EXACTLY the same thing on Sunday. I reminded her to remove tons of stuff from Private Mode first before formatting her S5.
