“Your premium may fluctuate by plus-minus 10%, depending on the colour of your car. A white car will result in a lower premium as it has the best visibility.”

Colour makes zero difference, ask any insurance company if having a white car will cost you less....

Why does MYBB get articles from k@k companies instead of from the leaders in the industry.

It is a rating factor in other countries, mainly in the northern hemisphere, but not so much down here as we have mostly high visibility days through the year.

Not sure if it ever went through, but there were talks about colour being a financing factor as many people there buy grey and black cars which when you have 360 days of clouds. Basically low vis cars paid higher interest in financing.

So it’s possible that some of the more dof insurers like KP may use colour as a factor, they are also the same dof insurers who at one point had all their rating factors visible in plain text in their web source.

Basically if your car is fancy and/or costs more than 2mil, they won’t, or didn’t cover it, maybe that’s changed.

There are many factors that influence risk, and statistically the colour of the vehicle has proven to be relevant. It's built into the actuarial formula in the application used by the insurance company to calculate the probability of an accident and therefore the insurance risk.
