The cheapest 4K TVs you can buy in South Africa

As consumers move to higher-resolution TVs and content, 4K TVs continue to become more popular across the global market.

While these high-resolution units were previously unobtainable for average TV users, they have come down in price considerably since their launch and are now much more affordable.

I can understand UHD for Netflix (if you have Fibre).

What's the point of UHD when there is no broadcast UHD in ZA?

Though to be fair, most SA channels are not even in HD yet but most of us have HD TV's. I suspect as prices continue to fall and manufacturers make 4K standard across all TV's, people will have no choice, and content will slowly follow as it did with HD.

most people these days either stream or download so will make sense that they watch in the best available quality and have a TV that meets those requirements.

Really? I didn't know that, thanks!

Most of the shows on those channels still look like they are in SD to me. I must need new contacts. :(
Are you receiving an HD broadcast?

Digital terrestrial broadcasts are all in HD. Traditional analogue broadcasts cannot support HD.
