Yes, when I started on here I mentioned that I smoked some cars with my slow poke 147...the most controvercial one was the bog standard PGTi...dude that works with us.
If you would read between the lines I also mentioned that I'm not convinced he did indeed race...he says otherwise. Becuase there is no way in hell I know I would ever kill a PGTi...even if standard. Maybe a 145 would sit on its arse...but that's as close. So on wen the rantings, I was called a liar by the same dude who now can't accept an open invitation to race...:erm:and by some others as well...
The car has basically new engine - custom exhaust made with recomendation from Mongoletsi's own 147 2.0 TS, and a Mongoletsi map downloaded from the UK branch - this all done by P*** - we don't talk about this as its not a proven mod
- as the map is actually meant for diesel 147's...lol, but the parameters was made to use with petrol car just to see what happens...ie, feul, spark, pressure, air flow etc. I need to take out the cats and maybe replace the headers...but no power gains from teh headers are promised...
the car is far from quick and I'll be the first to tell you NOT to mod a N/A engine with these bare essentials only, go cams and throttles - I'f I'm mad enough i'll go throttles...but remapping an N/A car is just yielding anything, the tourque climbs up but that's about it, and uses lot more fuel - and I didn't want the car dyno'd coz I don't like it to scream like that...we did open road tuning of that map...and he said with exhaust and the map you looking at at least 8kw increase, so standard 110kw + 8kw increase on almost R7000+ worth of basically stage 1 mods...I'm 118kw on the fly...in theory...
So there...anyone want to contest that, log onto Alfaowner and look for Mongoletsi thread and ask around...
