Cerebus, that's not normal. Take your son to a doc and get a culture done. It could be a urinary tract infection, a rash due due to overenthusiastic cleaning or retraction, or irritation due to sensitivity to washing powder or something.

Or because they can't fight back...

FK ME !

I just realized one thing. Have you ever got urine on a cut or something ? Do you have any idea how much it stings/burns. Now a baby in a nappy pee's in his nappy and the urine all over the wound

That is inhumane if you ask me

Drunk, fell of a quad had a massive cut on my finger and it was full of dirt/soil.

There was only one way of cleaning the crap out of my hand in the middle of no where

And seriously it burns like hell !!!

No, I'm not blaming the people on here. It was our decision. But if I did it over again I would have had him cut, having had the experience.

There is no guarantee that being circumcised would have prevented this.

Having made the decision not to have our boy circumcised, now I really wish we had. He constantly gets rashes down there - right now the whole thing is red and sore. My wife's brother had to get it done at age 12 and it was incredibly painful. I dunno why I ever allowed the extremists of this forum to influence me.

The problem I had was finding a Dr in the Helderberg to do it - there where only 2 prepared to do it, and we had it done.

Few Doctors are prepared to give you all the facts - the pro's and cons. Our decision was soley influenced by the fact that I was circumcised. From a child pyscologists point it is important that the son is the same as the father as it creates much confusion and lack of self image/embarrassment of the body when one has the chop and the other hasn't (In our hosehold where a bunch of naturalists).

That's a bit ridiculous. Firstly, what about when circumcision was only coming into vogue in the US and UK in the early years of last century - what about the fathers of the children then?

Secondly, that's only one small thing that could be different - shouldn't the father then rather shave his body, have no facial hair, etc.? And what if the father is missing a limb or even finger - should junior have his amputated too, in the interests of "looking like dad"?

I'm pretty much with Claymore on this one...

and I have discussed this with a Child Psych who just happens to be part of my family.. he laughed and said nothing could be further from the truth... Differences are actually welcomed between father and son, its how they're DEALT with thats important

When my wife was pregnant she spoke to a couple of child physcologist (clients of hers). This is a big issue amongst them and they advise like father like son on this (circumcision). A parent needs to also be careful and double think on their decision to do it and not to do it.
