Tbh this thread is just to talk about everything DA at this pointJust dropped in to check the DA is still in a total crisis - unlike the ANC which is a pillar of unity and stability.

You mean the DA youth leader? Don't know about that honestly. But hey, it would be cool to see the ANC get rocked in EC and other provinces too but I'm not holding my breath for the other provinces except Gauteng? Northern Cape, Free State and KZN are unknowns, Western Cape will either remain under DA or DA-coalition control. And you can forget about Limpopo and Mpumalanga, those are ANC territories confirmed.
Us ANC cadres get paid to post in DA threads - we are just doing our jobs.Just dropped in to check the DA is still in a total crisis - unlike the ANC which is a pillar of unity and stability.
Yes, it's going to be a struggle for Renaldo Gouws to get people to take him seriously. His bullshjit "Tsek" 'merch' and his right-wing leaning views over the many years of ranting and carrying on over at YouTube. He lacks credentials, has a big mouth, but lacks credentials. That's really the overall issue with the DA though, they all lack credentials. You've got 'matric' Mazzoni, Steenhuizen has no qualifications either. Why is it that corporate structures require qualified people, yet political parties not? This alone says everything you need to know about the overall attempt to lead. I'm pretty sick of it all, and it's really the one thing SA is crying for, GREAT LEADERS.True, Trollip took the DA to where it was in EC. The current leadership in EC is very weak and guys like Renaldo Gouws are sending people away from the party than bringing people to it.
Trollip has a following and if Action SA play their cards right, they can gain significant ground in EC. Potentially taking youth votes from the EFF as well.
I won't be surprised if Mphiti joins now as well. Mphiti seemed to view Trollip as a father figure.
I thought Zille had denied that had happened?
I see Action SA has got another big fish;
Big mistake IMO.

Damn, that is a big fish.
A big mistake by ActionSA or Trollip?
Are we sure? Was he really effective at all? Surely, we can dig something about him now?Damn, that is a big fish.
I'll need to check the podcast tomorrow but I'm sure she said that's what happened. She denied that they sent him to get agreement.I thought Zille had denied that had happened?

That is what I was about to ask, as soon as I understand who is making a big mistake.Wow, they got Trollip? Damn, seems like PE is all to play for again...
Seems like ActionSA is managing to draw former high-profile party members from ANC and DA. That's a good sign IMO.
How is it a mistake tho?
He was no longer employed by the DA, no longer active in its activities, what's the worst that could happen if ActionSA does go the way of COPE?Trollip. Someone mentioned on Twitter that Action SA might end up like Cope...I find it hard to disagree. Too many people with big egos are joining Action SA with largely divergent views and I find it hard to describe Action SA's governing ideology.
Trollip almost became DA leader or federal chair IIRC. This is a genuine loss for the DA.
There is an ANC thread that was created out of disgruntlement about this thread, you would think people would go there if they feel they want to vent about the ANC, maybe it's about time people admitthere is something about this thread.Tbh this thread is just to talk about everything DA at this point

Looks like Mashaba is taking him just to score some WEE points. That is what I was about to ask, as soon as I understand who is making a big mistake.

I would say less out of disgruntlement and more of a mocking tone to/meme about this thread. I mean this thread is notorious for complaining over everything about the DA 95% of the time so...There is an ANC thread that was created out of disgruntlement about this thread
Why not make a new SA politics thread? Doesn't need to be combined, it's reaching its post limit as is, and a fresh start is better. Problem is there are folks who get butt hurt when bad things are said about party A, so they flood the thread with good things about party A, or bad things about party B.I would say less out of disgruntlement and more of a mocking tone to/meme about this thread. I mean they might as well change this thread's title to "The DA thread" since the DA is no longer in crisis as well tbh.
I'm actually for a SA politics thread, maybe combine this one with the ANC in crisis thread to create it, to finally get some order in regards to SA Politics in N&CA?
