Where we govern...

“These potholes have been here for 20 years now and it just keeps getting worse, so we decided that enough was enough and that it was time for us to do something about it,” she said.

So it all started while the ANC ran the place?

So the DA in Gauteng is no good?
Apparently they paying people millions to fix potholes. R6K a pop to dump a bit of tar into a hole and compact it. They've been on radio a few times trying to convince people this is a good price and they're doing everything they can.

The most important thing is that there are no potholes where we govern, but if we do stumble upon one isolated pothole there is always a reasonable explanation.

? An article from June 2021? So surely the street would've been repaired (or mostly anyway by now)?

Also couldn't find more articles about this from anywhere else... Not News24 or Sunday Times... Fokol

Typical IOL

P.S would be great to be able to see what the road looks like as of now

Maybe it has been repaired but why did it look like that in the first place in the province we govern? I thought that trademark is owned by the Great Liberation Movement?

And is there any reason why a random story about potholes in Cape Town should appear in multiple publications?
I am sure there are plenty such stories you would find in one media house and not the other, that MyBb story about the guy counting potholes in Pretoria as an example.

Traveling from Alberton to Randburg through City Deep and Jan Smuts ave.

I do this trip once every 6 months or so. The decay over the last 10 years is frightening.

Nice sarcasm

Cause it would be more credible? You know how IOL is.

We're still looking for the Tembisa 10 AND for the hole in the side of the mountain at Simon's Town.

Could you blame me for being sceptical about IOL?

I am not asking you for anything with regards to IOL, I am totally at peace with media houses, they all have an agenda and they all shamelessly tell lies from time to time, but in between there they also report factual stories.

The only difference is that we as the consumers of the news are more forgiving on fake news if they align with our own personal agenda.

So I am happy if you don't want to believe the story about Cape Town potholes when it's reported on IOL, as for me, I am well capable of deducing fact from fiction so I normally don't use the blanket ban approach on any media house.
