All I hope for is people stop voting ANC. Vote for Action SA rather if they don't want to vote DA.

Okay, but should votes veer to Action SA, it is only fair that the current leadership be held accountable as Maimane was.

If the current leadership was strong enough, Action SA would not be a threat to the DA and the party would be targeting growth instead of just trying to get to where it was pre Maimane.

Some of the recent strategy taken by the DA and EFF suggest that they do see Action SA as a threat.

We will see how Action SA will do in the May 4 by-election. Think Dawie is hyping them way too much when FF+ was a clear 2nd in the ward.

By elections don't reveal too much in the long run.

Bi-election have poor turnout. This one will depend on whether the Action SA candidate (likely a DA defector) is more popular than the candidate the DA fields in that community. If both perform poorly, FF+ will benefit due to the splitting of the vote.

I was also sceptical of by-elections and what they can tell us, but they picked up the FF peeling away Afrikaans voters long before the 2019 election....

Yes, but this was also in part due to defections from the DA and those leaders taking their followings along with them. In a similar way, Trollip and co who left the DA will take their followings to Action SA.

If people don't like the action(s) of the leadership, then they should vote differently next time. Leadership is taking responsibility, and accepting you won't be able to please everyone. If you do x, people complain, if you do y people complain...

And it's good ... ASA should be a threat for everyone (DA, EFF, ANC etc etc). I welcome it! Time for change in SA, by getting rid of the ANC.

None from ANC metro's/provinces but that's expected.

The City of Cape Town is appealing to residents to donate goods that will be sent to KwaZulu-Natal.

Cape Town Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis said that donations could be dropped off at the Roeland Street fire station, Lakeside fire station as well as the fire stations in Strand, Goodwood and Bellville.

Perhaps a good thing as the ANC cadres will find a way to scam donation's into their own pockets through fraud and corruption. They cannot help themselves, its in their genes.

Being an ANC cadre is genetic? Wow, who knew? All this time I thought it was a choice
