No I did not, it is an open thread about the crises of the DA, yet you are now joining in on the butthurt legion of those offended by the criticism towards the DA.

Next time think twice before creating threads.
Criticism, more thinly veiled racism from ANC/EFF supporters.

We know you hate clean governance, you despise things that work and you are hell bent on destroying the country to prove some point to whitey.

They're not out of the woods yet. In fact, they risk losing their status to fringe parties like EFF, which can spell disaster for the country.

Zille attempted to play identity politics in her time as party leader. She went as far as elevating relatively inexperienced and unknown faces to the top but for some unknown reason, this little fact is often overlooked when discussing the crisis within the party.

Zille created this crisis.
Whenever she elevated black people they turned into little ANCs. Hope she learned her lesson.

They promoted DA's policies of the time, which were championed by Zille in order to attract other demographics and grow beyond the WC.

Their only crime, especially Mazibuko, was to stand up against the establishment (read Zille).

He still thinks that the crisis is they lost some share of the vote. And ignores the real crisis, which is that they and SA have lost any opportunity they had of toppling the ANC in the near term.

Thinly veiled racism? Kahle Vrotappel...
Anyway, since when is thinly veiled racism a problem on this forum?

I actually just posted that Zille made mistakes.
She relegated the DA, once seen as the viable option to the ANC, to a regional party. Her mistakes are going to see the likes of EFF becoming official opposition to the ANC.

Well, if certain people use that measure to decide to vote EFF, I'd suggest we as a country were totally buggered long before she became a politician.

Do you ever wonder what is wrong with this country? Do you guys ever listen to yourself? Do you actually believe that kak? :X3:

Disgruntled middle class leaving the DA and ANC to join smaller parties. EFF on the other hand has been growing steadily since inception. There's no way the DA can beat ANC in the polls by sticking to the founding principles. The turf has since changed so they needed to adapt.

If the entire country was like the WC and GP, then I'd say they have a chance. But things are different compared to 15 years ago. ANC has shifted a notch to the left to counter the EFF.

A more centrist position would have been a better compromise.

Let's keep it real. A left wing DA supporter will not be likely to join the EFF, rather the ANC or one of the more moderate parties.. Disgruntled ANC supporters might join the DA or EFF depending on leaning. The EFF growth is more a reflection of ANC failure than DA failure. Trying to blame Helen for the EFF growth is a bit of a reach (and then again). Akin to blaming JVR that arrived 2000 years ago.

Tbh, this thread has become toxic, nothing more than a troll and deflection thread.

Read carefully, nowhere does he claim that EFF growth was due to the DA.

I suggest you read again. Who is she, the cat? On that note: my cat got kittens ... ?

And no, before you go there, not a DA supporter. Just amazed at the disingenuous mental gymnastics.

Can't face the truth and must resort to thinly veiled innuendos.

Look in the mirror, bro. This was the post from you just before mine.

Criticism, more thinly veiled racism from ANC/EFF supporters.

DA is just another looser socialist party, taking from the tax payer to buy the vote of the poor. Then the DA comes along with their sustainable green nonsense just to have some buzz words to cover the fact that they want more tax from the middle class to give to the freeloaders. The DA policy is the opposite of sustainability.

The thread was fine until Solomon and Vrotappel got triggered.
