Ramming one car into another scores ten points, while killing a cop gets a player 1,000 points, an online summary of the game showed.

I wonder if this guy has actually played the game. Or even *seen* someone play the game.

No, actually I don't wonder.

Lawyers like this are no better than cheap whores. Out to **** someone for money. And they're not even good at it...

This is a good example of how pathetic some people can be...

There are many people who think like this oke but they are just as lame... wanting to do good but doing more bad than anything.

If I could meet anyone like this, my first instinct would be to smack em but I'd try and show em it's entertainment.. GET OVER IT and go find some real work to do!

i think they should make good christian kind of games. something like GTA. but instead you could be like preacher and you earn points for converting people, or helping old ladies cross the road. the bonus would be finding a lost bag or wallet or something and giving it in to lost or found.

hrmm :/

second thoughts GTA is perfect the way it is right now. i think i will play some hours on GTA and go rib my neighbours - cuz you know i have no sense of self discipline and stuff like that. besides i will blame the game.

Prosecutors worldwide have a vested interest in diverting any blame attributed to their client elsewhere. It comes as no surprise that video games once again become a scapegoat for fundamentalist views.

The judge neglected to mention one important thing: Had the guy (that was sentenced) not had access to the GTA game, would he still have commited those crimes? My answer would be yes...

it made sense to prosecutor Darryl Stallworth that committing virtual violent crimes lowered the barrier to bloodshed in the real world
Maybe it would stop making sense if he went back on his medication.

What sort of low mental capacity do you have to have to believe this nonsense?

a vicious US gang that played ultra-violent "Grand Theft Auto" by day, then robbed and murdered by night
There go the poor guy's plans to become a mild-mannered accountant. His whole life ruined by this evil game.

Funny you should mention that. Check out www.leftbehindgames.com for the next Christian game to hit the shelves. Play as good or evil - but not quite the way you envisaged it. :D

Wage a war of apocalyptic proportions in LEFT BEHIND: Eternal Forces - a real-time strategy game based upon the best-selling LEFT BEHIND book series created by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins. Join the ultimate fight of Good against Evil, commanding Tribulation Forces or the Global Community Peacekeepers, and uncover the truth about the worldwide disappearances!
  • Lead the Tribulation Force from the book series , including Rayford, Chloe, Buck and Bruce against Nicolae Carpathia – the AntiChrist.
  • Conduct physical & spiritual warfare : using the power of prayer to strengthen your troops in combat and wield modern military weaponry throughout the game world.
  • Recover ancient scriptures and witness spectacular Angelic and Demonic activity as a direct consequence of your choices.
  • Command your forces through intense battles across a breathtaking, authentic depiction of New York City .
  • Control more than 30 units types - from Prayer Warrior and Hellraiser to Spies, Special Forces and Battle Tanks!

  • Play multiplayer games as Tribulation Force or the AntiChrist's Global Community Peacekeepers with up to eight players via LAN or over the internet!

What games do you think some of our SA leaders, corporations and world leaders have been playing, that they can use to blame their actions on ?
1. Bob Mogabe - C&C Renegade playing as NoD, also bought Black & White (nice title)
2. Zuma - Leisure Suit Larry, finished the following :
  • LL2 - Larry Goes Looking for Love (in Several Wrong Places)
  • LL6 - Shape Up or Slip Out!
  • LL7 - Love for Sail!
  • LL9 - Magna Cum Laude (didn't finish, but liked the title)
  • LL11 - Ordered Cocoa Butter, but might cancel as Shabir hasn't bought him a PS2 yet
3. Telkom - Monopoly
4. Bush - C&C playing as GDF and Oil Tycoon, also a bit of Flight Simulator
5. feel free to add....

Eternal Forces
It isn't really that different to other games of the genre (and I don't mean Christian games). Looks more like a way for some people to pat themselves on the back because they're playing a 'Christian' game. If it is actually a good game other people will probably play it too, but I can't see the underlying propaganda being all that relevant to them - just another fantasy story.

commanding Tribulation Forces or the Global Community Peacekeepers
Which is evil and which is good? :)
