Hi there

Is anyone using unotelly and netflix on neotel LTE?

ADSL in my area have become unusable and i'm looking at alternatives. Unotelly states they don't support 3G/4G. Suppose LTE falls into this category? Or am i not understanding it correctly.

I'm living your issue, unotelly doesn't work and countless forums have been unable to help.
I'm on 8ta LTE and OOB is no issue since it's an opt in.

They may not officially support it, but it works. Had Unotelly set up on my 8ta 3G modem and ran perfectly fine..

How did you do it? There's no place I can change the DNS server on my router.
It's a Huawei B593 LTE Router.

It's a Huawei B593 LTE Router.

Control Panel
Network and Sharing center
Change adapter settings (on left side)
Right click, properties on the adapter / connection in question (in my case, it is 8ta)
Networking
Internet protocol v4, Properties
Use the following DNS address

Then you simply enter the specific DNS value, apply, and you can close everything. Disconnect and reconnect if needed, and you should be set to go

What is the best netflix streaming device? Kids and wife don't want to use the ps3, and the laptop is just cumbersome. I note the apple tv is pretty good, but want to confirm

Best is Roku. But can be irritating to setup first time as you need a US IP to register.

Second best use the WD TV Live.

All of the WD media streamers have a slow-ass response time especially to apps such as Netflix and Hulu. Once you're into your selected movie/tv series/whatever it plays fine but getting there is a bit of a pain especially if you're used to the Roku or Amazon Fire TV.
It might not be a deal breaker for some but it's helluva irritating.

Best is a smart TV (if you are at the point of needing an upgrade).
Otherwise I concur with Chevron

Ps3 is easy and works well. Just buy yourself a ps3 Blu-ray remote

Streaming on a smart TV is terrible. Especially if you watch Hulu.
The Roku is definitely the best.

Agree with Roku, although I'm struggling at present to stream but it isn't roku related :-(

I tested my Netflix stream quality by watching their test video and it hovered between DVD and 720p quality most of the time on a 4mbps afrihost uncapped connection, however toward the end of the video the quality jumped to 1080p with 5800kbps bitrate which is higher than my line speed... How is this possible?
(Not complaining about higher than expected quality :p, i just found it odd.)

I would like to test this.
I have just subscribed and receives the "Must be inside the US" error.
Am I correct in saying I must now sign up for Unotelly or is there is free option to test with?
I would like to run this via my Playstation.
Yes that is correct. You need a DNS service like unotelly or a VPN to watch content that is geo locked.

Unotelly has a free trial.

Here are a few free DNS services which I use. I haven't noticed any difference between them and a commercial service.
https://dnseraser.com/ (need to register)
TVunblock - 104.131.127.184 / 192.241.137.65 (tvunblock.com)
PlaymoTV - 214.5.182.127 / 213.5.182.117
jsheed_sa - 154.127.60.71

Thank you. Will try it. Using the Unotelly trial at the moment and it is going well.

I appreciate the suggestion and will definitely try it.
