A countrie's rail system is an excelent way of evaluating its ability to govern itself.

This has always been the case for me. I live close enough to work too cycle (~7km). I have a car but use it less than 5000kms per month.

I'm even starting to feel the pinch...

I live 12km from work, but if I don't leave before 6.30 it can take up to an hour and a half sometimes.
Government has no idea that traffic lights are actually supposed to be synced to a certain degree not one is green and you sit at the next and so on.

I technically live 300kms from work. :sneaky:

But I go there once a week and back on week ends.
