Yoh!!! I just finished my workout and sitting down catching up on new posts/news/whatsapp.

I'm shocked at all these photos because we didn't have anything close to that intensity of a storm in Lynnwood Glen (work) or Garsfontein (Home) areas. Thought EWN was hyping stuff up a bit as I drove home.

One big gust of wind that I can remember but all it damaged was a woman's dignity in the parking lot when her dress ended up over her head.

Damn guys. Hope everybody is safe and injuries/damages are not too serious to those affected already.

Yes, it was captured from Krugersdorp's side - https://krugersdorpnews.co.za/33706...aven-cradlestone-mall-sasol-pinehavens-roofs/

In addition, here is a video of it forming at the bottom of the hill - https://www.facebook.com/groups/KrugersdorpForum/permalink/871398969693348/

Trying to track the damage path. These are the only confirmed locations I can get. and a video showing a funnel cloud from a window in sunning hill. Not sure of the direction either and if this was isolated. I'm not a meteorologist but I watch too many tornado stuff on youtube. lol

Using your awesome damage path map. This is the path that I drove home while it was happening. Completely oblivious.

Mostly here at Dolphin Coast....

Jeez Sugar, the hail and wind were scary in Bromhof/Boskruin.

I was relieved to see my house in one piece when I got home after buying a couple of sandbags to put in front of the door at the bottom of a slightly sloping driveway.

Well... I have nothing to worry about there..

So possible multiple hook echos. (tornado outbreak) I'm still waiting for the pathetic journalism in Gauteng to verify what happened. There is even a video someone is claiming to be in Delmas. It won't supprise me if the funnel saw in sunninghill was the same one in honeydew and Krugersdorp.

I was busy this afternoon, and only captured a few radar frames from the SAWS website. However, there were multiple powerful storms, and separate damage at various locations was likely.

We're so blessed with all the rain in Gauteng after a long drought. I wish some rain for the WC too. We know exactly what you going through, we had a long drought too.

Our main dams are all basically full at the start of this season. This early rain in the catchment areas could easily fill them up again soon.
