I think I've used a hose to top my pool maybe 4 times in the last 2 years... After yesterday's storm I'm actually having to back wash this morning cause it's close to over flowing...

EDIT: The volume of water coming through that single hose is probably 5-6 times greater than a standard garden variety hose pipe running at full steam.

We have two water tanks - they work beautifully. Use them to fill the swimming pool and water the garden.

I may do that as well eventually. I have a down pipe rather close to the pool and put the tank out of sight, would need to think about what I do with the gate there but that's a minor concern.

Need to figure out where the pool is leaking first though and the recent rains make that difficult.

SAWS weather radar indicates a rather large storm over your area. Not sure which way it is moving though. Seems to be going East and not Northwards. Good because some of that will end up in the Vaal dam catchment area.
