Actually, this guy was quite stupid for attempting that manoeuvre - luckily he survived to tell the tale.

Ford ranger tendencies.

At least the wind is still cool.

Not in the mood for a hot and humid afternoon

That rain was amazing. I could feel the parched earth soaking it in with glee. With the RWC win, quite a Saturday. :)

And we are back to the hell like temperatures that Gauteng has experienced the past few weeks again.

We had a nice 45mm in Pretoria this weekend. Looks like we're in for a repeat this coming weekend as well. Can't wait. This not-watering-the-lawn thing is nice.

42 mm in Boskruin, what a wonderful rain. Best part is over how long it fell, very little runnoff as it had time to soak into the ground.

Ground was still wet most of yesterday, might not have been 42mm.

My dad told me that in his time, from August, they had regular rain showers in the afternoon, and they would get wet when cycling home from school.

When I first moved to JHB (12 years ago) Aug to probably Nov was guaranteed daily rain around 4.
I doubt it, considering we normally get our rains from late spring through summer to a little in Autumn, averagely August is as dry as July in Johannesburg.

Maybe I am wrong with August, but the daily rains I am not wrong about. I was a field tech at the time, and I always happened to be on the road when the rains came down.
