According to News24 we should be getting our life jackets ready in Pretoria.

Can you imagine almost 400mm in 48 hours (Tue & Wed)?:eek::eek::oops::oops::oops:

All other forecasts I've checked does agree with rain expected early next week but nothing close to the biblical proportions predicted by N24.

Those figures come from a model that exaggerates extreme events, but the forecasts are definitely showing heavy rain: http://clients.customweather.com/1STWX/forecasts.php?wid=FAJS#tabs-3

Other models are showing substantially less rain: https://www.yr.no/place/South_Africa/Gauteng/Johannesburg/long.html

Those aren't flying ants, but termites.
Yes I know most of them are termites, but not all are. There are other species of ants who also exhibit the phenomena. The name flying ants is just the local name we all learnt as kids.

Didn't have to stream - the dance was enough

Loving the rain - hope it gets heavy and lasts all night
