Yep, exceptionally cold temperatures, some sort of cutoff-low. Hot in the west:
Can you recall seeing anything similar in the past? I've only taken an interest in wx watching quite recently - so I can't recall ever observing a weather pattern like this :)

Every season actually, Sometimes very clear and other times not so easy to spot. This pattern is pretty "normal".

Seems like Pretoria's roads are crumbling away in this weather. Just been to replace a couple of tires.

Don't even want to know what that piece of Garsfontein Road between Solomon Mahlangu and start of Woodhill is going to be like after all this rain.

Even without rain we avoid it as much as possible.

4x4 track.

The stretch of Garsfontein Road near Menlyn (outside Tiger Wheels) has got some very interesting features at the moment.
